University of Patras

The University of Patras, an international collaborator, is the third largest university in Greece, with a staff of nearly 1300 researchers and faculty. The university conducts research in Environment, Health, Biotechnology, Mechanics, Electronics, Informatics and Basic Science. Because of its international recognized researchers, the Civil Engineering Department attracts competitive international and national research funding on a continuous sustained basis. The Department is also responsible for graduate education leading to the degrees of Master of Civil Engineering and Doctor of Civil Engineering, and is part of the European consortium for Masters in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (MEEES).
